Malcolm leads DME operational efforts. Malcolm has been an active real estate investor since 2008, starting with hands-on experience in Kansas City, MO, during the distressed housing crisis. From 2008-2012, Malcolm worked for both PwC and EY in Advisory and Audit/Assurance services, performing several public and private REIT audits and financial transformation projects during his tenure. He started his real estate career by acquiring a small portfolio of rentals and developing a systemic approach to acquire, rehab, and sell fix-n-flips.
Malcolm has successfully overseen a range of both interior renovations—including bathrooms, kitchens, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (MEPs)—and exterior improvements such as roofing and sidewalks, often managing these projects at scale with renovation budgets between $2 million and $5 million. His hands-on experience includes managing a diverse portfolio of single-family rental homes, small apartment complexes, and fix-and-flip properties. In addition, he led several large-scale, value-add multifamily renovation projects. In 2021, Malcolm strategically liquidated his entire real estate portfolio.
Malcolm has a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Hofstra University.
Chad leads acquisitions and financial analysis. Chad started his journey in real estate through joint acquisitions, first purchasing a duplex, then continuing to acquire and operate seven total apartment buildings. Through his investment journey, he has gained valuable experience across the whole investment lifecycle, especially pertaining to income/expense analysis, honing his proficiency through vetting hundreds of opportunities.
Chad is characterized by his analytical rigor and unparalleled work ethic. He adds value with his expertise in technology, having lead and completed software projects for the DoD, Johns Hopkins, JP Morgan's Investment Bank, and a FinTech company serving the largest institutional banks in the nation. Chad's acumen, passion, and technological savvy drive his mission to modernize the real estate investment landscape and improve communities in the process.
Chad graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, from the University of Delaware, inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi during his tenure.
